Electronic Arts takes 'Madden Football' to Facebook

"Madden Football" has come to Facebook, but don't expect to be executing fancy pass plays while sitting at your office PC.
Electronic Arts on Tuesday launched a version of its flagship sports game -- dubbed "Madden NFL Superstars" -- on the world's largest social network. The move marked the first time that "Madden" has appeared as a social game.
"We're really chasing after consumers in places where they are spending more time," said Peter Moore, president of EA Sports.
The game was built in coordination with Playfish, the social gaming company that EA bought last November. Consequently, it has more in common with other social games than with the versions of Madden that are designed for the latest consoles. In the Facebook version, gamers manage a team and play games against other users but don't control actual players on the field.

Not as exciting as playing the original but still a novel concept....get back later once I try it out!
